Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Prior to Thursday's contest, the Seattle Mariners optioned pitcher Garrett Olson to Triple-A Tacoma to make room for infielder/outfielder Bill Hall on the major league roster. Olson went 3-5 with a 5.88 earned run average in 24 games, including 11 starts, for the M's this season, his third pro campaign. Hall, who was acquired on Wednesday from the Milwaukee Brewers, hit just .201 with six homers, 12 doubles and 24 RBI in 76 games.
